Hi everyone welcome back to theRuntastic Fitness Channel. As you can see
we're cookin in the kitchen today and Ihave a really really good
pecan chocolate protein overnightoatmeal recipe for you. This is perfect
for all of you out there that maybe don'thave time in the morning to make a good
breakfast. You just need something tograb and go, or maybe you want to snooze
a little bit longer in the morning andyou want something that you can just
grab and head out the door with. So, Ihave a recipe for you just for those
moments. What you're going to need is ahalf a cup of milk. I have chosen an
unsweetened almond milk variety. You can use coconut milk you can use rice milk
you can even use low-fat regular milk ifyou want to. But I really like almond milk. It's my
favorite that's why I have chosen to usethat. You'll also need a jar because this is
where your oats will sleep
overnight in the fridge this is wherethey're going to be. You need half a cup
of oats. So I have half of a cup here. You can use the quick cooking ones or you
can use the whole oats here like I have.Whatever you have at home whichever you
prefer and then I also have a half of ascoop of chocolate protein powder. You
can use a whey protein you can use aplant based protein which ever one you
like the taste of because that'sthe most important. We also have one
banana but you don't really use thewhole thing. We will just use it as a
garnish on top. So at least one banana ifyou have a half of the banana laying
around at home you want to use itsperfect for that. I also have some
unsweetened coconut shavings
and some pecans as well. They're not candied pecans no added sugar just
plain pecans, ok? Now, we are going to get started with this recipe. First you can take your
jar and we're gonna fill it up abouthalf way, which will be about half of a
cup, with the almond milk. So pour it inhere till it goes about half way.
So about half of the cup of almond.I'm not super into measuring, I just kind
add everything and kind of have a feeling for it. But, if you're stickler for measurements, it's half of a cup.
Then we'll put our oats right into themilk here. And for those of you that
watched my last video where I made oatmeal with Greek yogurt and things like that. If you
are lactose intolerant or vegan, thisis the perfect recipe for you especially
if you're using a plant-based protein aswell as some coconut milk or almond milk or
rice milk or some sort of non-dairy milk aswell. So for all of you out there this is
also gluten-free if you choosegluten-free oats. Oats are gluten-free
naturally but sometimes they can get gluten in them from
cross-contamination just a little FYI. Sothat's also gluten-free recipe for those
of you out there. Now we will add thechocolate protein powder to the mix
put it right in here. This one is a plant based protein because I based protein powders
But you can use whichever one you haveat home that you like. Then the fun
part. You put the lid on nice and tight and you shake it...shake it...shake it!
Then you can sleep in in the morning and when you wake up and your
breakfast is already ready. Once it's shaken up it's ready to go into the fridge. You put in
and it will be done by the morning. Youcan put it in for like three or four
hours to if you want to make it in themorning and eat for lunch for example.
But overnight is perfect. So I happenedto have one that was hanging out in the
kitchen overnight and here it is. So thisis the overnight oats in a jar. You
can eat it directly out of the jar ifyou want to with a spoon, but we're gonna
put it in a bowl here just so that youcan kind of get a look at what it looks
like. So I'm going to pour it into the bowl here. It's nice and
oatmealy. It's all mixed together with the protein powder
with the oatmeal with the almond milkand then I'm going to top it with the
rest of the ingredients. So you can useberries if you want to, you can use apples you can
use whatever really that you like andwhat you have you don't need to go to
the store and buy something that youdon't have just for this particular
recipe. Blueberries are really good onthis recipe,
blackberries, maybe if youlike mango but I have a banana here.
It's just about half
of a banana and you can go ahead, if youif you're eating it out of the jar, you
could just cut up the bananas andput it into the jar and mix it up you
don't have to put it in a bowl if youdon't want to. I'm going to sprinkle a little bit of
the unsweetened coconut flakes on it andthen for some good healthy fat we're
adding the pecans on it. I like pecans on this recipe but you can use almonds, you can use walnuts
if you want to. Whatever you like. And that's pretty much it. There you have it this is
pecan chocolate protein overnightoats recipe so you can make it a night
you can even make multiple servings outyou can make it for the whole family or
you can make it so that you have it for afew mornings it's not gonna go bad if
you leave it in the fridge for a coupleof days. iIt's not going to overcook because
it's pretty much just hanging out in thefridge. But yeah so let me know if you
like it or if you try it. I would love to hearfeedback
and I would love to also hear from youwhat type of recipes you want to see
